The Franklin & Marshall ID Card enables students to access their Meal Plan, Flex Dollars, and Ben’s Bucks accounts. Each account must be funded prior to use and has unique rules for acceptance and the roll-over of funds.
F&M offers several meal plan options, all of which are Block Plans that reset at the end of each semester. There is no limit on the number of meals you can use daily, so a late night Dip Deal at one of the retail locations still only counts as one meal. Attempting to share meal plans is strictly forbidden and your card will be confiscated. Each meal plan provides for 10 guest passes (part of the block purchased, not additional meals), which can be used to invite friends to meals or used personally.
Flex dollars are part of the F&M meal plan, value varies based on the meal plan selected, and they can only be used at F&M dining facilities. Flex Dollars roll over from the fall semester into the spring, if a Spring meal plan is selected, but do not roll over to the next year. For more information about Flex Dollars or meal plans, please visit Franklin & Marshall Dining Services.
Ben’s Bucks are not the same as Flex Dollars, and are unrelated to your meal plan. Ben’s Bucks is a prepaid spending account on your Franklin & Marshall ID Card offering a safe and convenient way to make purchases on and off campus, including all on-campus eateries. You or your parents must make a deposit to Ben’s Bucks prior to using it for purchases. You can also set up an Auto Reload schedule so you never run out of Ben’s Bucks. Value in Ben’s Bucks rolls over from semester-to-semester and year-to-year for as long as you are a member of the Franklin & Marshall community.
